The timer in Instant Agenda is great for keeping your meeting on track. But there are instances when the timer isn’t visible: maybe you are presenting with PowerPoint, or calling into a meeting with WebEx. In those cases, the timer may become obscured and when it can’t be seen, its effectiveness is reduced.

To help with this issue, we’ve introduced timer notifications. With timer notifications turned on, you can have the timer notify you at one-minute intervals using the messaging system provided by your operating system.

To enable these notifications, click on the “Enable timer notifications” link directly above the timer as seen below. Note that if you do not see this link, then your combination of browser and operating system does not support notifications.

enable notifications

Once you click this link, your browser will request permission to show you notifications from our domain. Clicking the “Allow” button will allow the notifications to be shown.

grant notification permissions

This verification is only required one time. If you later decide that you no longer want to receive notifications, you can click the “Disable timer notifications” link shown above the timer.

After enabling timer notifications, you will receive system notifications whenever the timer crosses a minute threshold. The specifics of how the notifications are shown will be dependent on your browser and operating system; here’s an example of how it looks on our system.

It’s important to understand that the timer notifications are displayed using the notification system specific to the device you are using. How the notifications are displayed, their location, and sounds that are played are all controlled by your system. Also, some applications may prohibit notifications from being shown while the application is in full-screen mode. If notifications are not being shown, you will need to adjust the settings of the full-screen application to allow the display of notifications.

Thanks for your continued usage and support. If you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to use the feedback button in the app. Also, we’re always happy to hear from you directly — just schedule a 15-minute call with us using this link:
