There are times in a meeting when you might feel that the discussion has gone off the rails or fallen down a rabbit hole, like Alice in Wonderland when she’s chasing that white rabbit who is running late for a very important date and finds herself in a strange land full of anthropomorphic creatures and other non-sensical things which — but you get the idea.
As a moderator, it would be helpful to know that others in your meeting do not find this derailed discussion constructive anymore. And as a meeting attendee, you would like to keep your meetings focused so they aren’t taking up more of your time than necessary.
Today we released new functionality that addresses both of these needs. Whether you are a moderator or an attendee of a meeting you can now click on a button to anonymously indicate to the meeting moderators that you feel this conversation has veered off course.
Whenever someone clicks this button, moderators will be notified with a banner sliding down into view with the tally of meeting attendees that feel the topic has decreased in productivity.
One can simply click the flag button again if the topic gets back on track, but the banner and everyone’s flag will clear entirely when the meeting moves on to the next topic.
If you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to use the feedback button in the app. Also, we’re always happy to hear from you directly — just schedule a 15-minute call with us using this link: https://calendly.com/instant-agenda/product-feedback
