In a previous post, we discussed deferred topics; some of their benefits and the mechanics of using deferred topics in Instant Agenda. We’ve made some improvements to make deferred topics even easier to use.

1. Notes, Actions, and Decisions are now shown

Sometimes a topic gets deferred after the discussion has started. Work items, such as notes, actions items, or decisions might have been associated with the topic. Previously, once a topic was deferred, you no longer had access to those work items. We’ve updated the interface so that those are now visible on topics that are deferred.

2. Deferred Topics in Meeting Summaries

Previously, if a topic had been discussed before being deferred, the topic would not show up in the meeting summary. We’ve fixed that. Every topic that has been discussed will no show up in the meeting summary, no matter what its current state.

3. Options on How to Restore Deferred Topics

In the past, when restoring a deferred topic, it was always placed back into the agenda. Now when clicking the Restore button you are given an option to restore into the current agenda or restore as the active topic (this option is only enabled if the meeting is in progress). When selecting the option to restore as the active topic, discussion on the deferred topic will begin immediately.
